More about Cecilie Margrethe Andersen
They were married on September 12, 1861 in Føvling Church, Føvling, Denmark. They had the following children:
1)Gunder Margrethe Elbek Jessen, born 1859, died 1871
2)Mikkel Johansen Jessen, born 1861, died 1871
3)Christine Margrete Elbæk Jessen, born 1863
4)Inger Line Katrine Jessen, born 1866, died 1866
5)Inger Line Katrine Jessen, born 1867
Jeppe and Cecilie served together at Jeppes uncle Mads Elbæk Jeppesen's during the spring of 1859, and then Cecilie became pregnant for the first time. In the summer of 1859 they both served elsewhere, but arrived back to Føvling together to get married at the end of 1859 before the child was due to be born. However, for unknown reasons they did not get married in 1859. They served together in Jernved from april to november 1860, and then Cecilie became pregnant again, but they were still not married. It was very unusual to have children outside marriage back then, and it was very shameful. When Jeppe and Cecilie came back to Føvling from Jernved in November 1860, they had purchased a house in the village Bobøl, but it still lasted almost a year more before they were finally married.
